Terms of service

Last updated 2 November 2026Dansk

These terms apply to your use of Synapse (the "Service"). The Service is operated by FRAIM ApS, CVR no. 46713893, Denmark ("we", "us"). See our company information for our address and contact details.

You accept these terms when you create an account. If you create or administer an organization in the Service, you also accept them on the organization's behalf and confirm that you are authorized to do so.

1. The service

Synapse is a service where people and organizations keep shared knowledge in vaults of pages, and where the agents they connect can read and write that knowledge on their behalf.

We inform you about material changes affecting a paid plan you have bought. Your statutory consumer rights continue to apply.

2. Accounts and organizations

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. Your account is personal, and you must not share your sign-in details with others. You can sign in with a password, or with GitHub or Google if you choose, and an organization may have you sign in through its own identity provider. Keep your sign-in details secure, and contact us at hej@fraim.dk if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

You may invite others to an organization or a vault and give them access according to their role. Invitees must use their own accounts. You are responsible for the access you grant, including the access you give agents.

An organization's owners and admins decide who belongs to it, which vaults it has, who may see and change them and what agents may do there. If your account was provided by an organization, that organization manages how you sign in. Content you write in an organization's vaults stays with the organization if you leave it; your Personal space stays yours.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service unlawfully or to infringe others' rights;
  • upload content you do not have the right to share;
  • attempt to disrupt the Service or gain unauthorized access to the Service, to another organization or to a vault you have not been given access to;
  • use agents or other automated tools to get around access rules, plan limits or rate limits, or to place unreasonable load on the Service;
  • reverse-engineer the Service's software, except where you are entitled to do so under mandatory law;
  • resell access to the Service without our consent.

4. Plans and payment

Synapse has a Free plan with no time limit and paid plans with more capacity. What each plan includes, and its limits, are described on the pricing page.

Prices are shown in US dollars, Danish kroner or euros, and the pricing page says whether VAT is included. You see the price and the currency before you buy. A subscription is billed in the currency it was started in.

Paid plans are subscriptions that renew automatically for the same period until they are canceled. You can cancel at any time under Manage billing in Settings → Plan and usage. The plan then runs until the end of the period you have paid for.

Built-in AI on FRAIM's plan includes an allowance. Use beyond the allowance is billed monthly at cost plus a markup, converted at FRAIM's published rate, and never beyond the organization's monthly cap. If an organization uses its own AI key, its provider bills it directly, and we charge nothing for that use.

Payments are handled by our payment provider, Stripe, as described in the Privacy policy. We do not store card numbers.

If you buy for a business, you confirm that you act for that business, and you give its VAT or tax number where asked. The consumer right of withdrawal in section 5 does not apply to purchases made for a business.

If you buy as a consumer, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal. See section 5.

Before paid plans go on sale

A plan can be bought only when the pricing page shows its price. Where the pricing page says "Pricing at launch", that plan is not yet for sale, and nothing is charged.

5. Your 14-day right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer, you have 14 days to withdraw from a subscription, starting on the day the purchase agreement is entered into. You do not have to give a reason. You can use Withdraw from contract in Settings → Plan and usage, or give us clear notice in another way, for example by writing to hej@fraim.dk. Your notice is in time if you send it before the 14 days have passed. You may use the model withdrawal form in section 6, but this is not required.

Before checkout, a consumer asks us to start the service immediately, during the withdrawal period, and acknowledges two things: that if you withdraw, you pay for the part of the service provided until you told us of your withdrawal; and that you lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully provided. We record your request and acknowledgement, with the version of its wording, when you buy.

If you withdraw, the subscription ends at once. We refund what you paid, less a proportionate amount for the service provided until you told us, calculated by days. We refund without undue delay and no later than 14 days after receiving your notice, using the same payment method you used for the purchase, without fees.

After a withdrawal your account returns to the Free plan. Your vaults and their content stay, and you can export them at any time.

6. Notice of withdrawal

You can copy the text below, fill in the details and send it to hej@fraim.dk. You can also write your own message, as long as it clearly states that you wish to withdraw from the contract.

7. Your content

You, or the organization you write for, keep the rights you have in the content added to the Service, such as pages, comments, attachments, captures and sources. Using the Service does not in itself transfer those rights to FRAIM.

Content in an organization's vaults is controlled by that organization, which decides who may see, change, export and delete it. Content in your Personal space is controlled by you.

You grant us the limited permission necessary to store, index, search, process and display content to provide the Service to you and to the people and agents you give access. This permission does not cover selling content, using it for advertising or using it to train AI models.

You may only add content you have the right to share and grant permissions you are authorized to grant. Limit access appropriately, and do not add unnecessary sensitive information about others. Where an organization's content contains personal data, the organization is responsible for the lawful basis for it, as described in the Data-processing terms.

These terms do not change our own obligations under data protection law.

8. Intellectual property

FRAIM and our licensors retain the rights to the Service's software, design, templates and other material we make available. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service within your plan and the access you have been granted.

You can export the vaults you are allowed to export, as Markdown with their attachments or as PDF, at any time while you have access. What you export is yours, or your organization's, to use.

You must not resell or distribute FRAIM's software, templates or other material as standalone products without permission.

Any special license terms for third-party material must be disclosed before you use that material. These terms do not limit rights you have under mandatory law.

9. Third-party services

We use outside providers for hosting, email, payments, notifications, file storage, sign-in and built-in AI. The sub-processor list names each of them and what it does.

Agents and AI services you connect yourself, such as an MCP client or your organization's own AI key, are your choice and run under your own agreement with their provider. What they do with the content they receive is governed by that agreement, not by these terms.

Our use of outside providers does not change our responsibility to you under these terms or your statutory consumer rights.

10. Agents and AI

You can connect agents, such as Claude, ChatGPT or another MCP client, to Synapse. A connected agent acts on your behalf with your account: it can reach what you can reach, narrowed by the vaults and permissions you grant it and by your organization's agent policy.

What an agent reads and writes through your connection counts as your use of the Service. Changes it makes are recorded in page history, attributed to the agent, and can be restored. Where a vault's rules require it, an agent's change is proposed for a person to accept instead of being applied directly.

You can see and disconnect your agents at any time on the Agents page (Settings → Agents). Disconnecting an agent stops new access through that connection; it does not undo what the agent did before.

Built-in AI features are off until an organization turns them on, and they then work only in vaults whose admins opt in. They use either FRAIM's plan or the organization's own key.

Output from agents and AI may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. Check information and changes that matter to you before you rely on them.

The Service does not replace professional legal, financial or tax advice. You make your own decisions.

How content is processed for agents and AI is described in the Privacy policy and the Data-processing terms.

11. Availability, support and liability

We cannot guarantee that the Service is always available or operates without errors. If you experience errors or other problems, contact us at hej@fraim.dk so we can investigate the problem and help you.

If you use the Service as a business, our total liability under these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, and we are not liable for indirect loss, such as lost profit or lost business. These limits do not apply to loss caused intentionally or by gross negligence, or where mandatory law does not allow them.

These terms do not limit your mandatory rights as a consumer.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. This does not in itself delete your account or your vaults. Vault owners can delete their vaults in the Service, and you can have your account deleted by writing to hej@fraim.dk.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms. As a rule, we will first contact you and give you an opportunity to remedy the breach. In cases of serious misuse, or where necessary to protect the security of the Service, we may intervene immediately.

On termination, we handle your personal data as described in the Privacy policy.

13. Changes to these terms

When we update these terms, we publish the new version with an updated date. Publication does not in itself change agreements already entered into.

For material changes intended to apply to your existing agreement, we notify you individually a reasonable time before the changes take effect. If a change requires your acceptance, we obtain it.

Changes do not limit your mandatory rights as a consumer and cannot retrospectively take away a subscription you have paid for.

14. Governing law and courts

These terms are governed by Danish law, and disputes may be brought before the Danish courts. This does not limit your mandatory rights as a consumer, including the right to bring proceedings before other courts where provided for by applicable rules.
