Cookie policy

Last updated 2 November 2026Dansk

This policy describes the cookies and browser storage that FRAIM ApS uses in Synapse and on its website, and how you can control them.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small files that a website stores on your device. Your browser can also store small amounts of data in other ways, for example in its local storage. We store only what the Service needs to work and the preferences you choose yourself.

2. What we use

Needed for the Service to work

  • Sign-in: better-auth.session_token keeps you signed in, better-auth.session_data can hold a short-lived copy of your session so pages load faster, and better-auth.dont_remember marks a session that should end when you close the browser. Over HTTPS their names start with __Secure-. Without them the Service cannot work.
  • Signing in with GitHub, Google or single sign-on: better-auth.state protects the sign-in against forgery while you are sent to the provider and back. It lasts a few minutes. When you sign up this way, the browser tab also keeps your invitation in its session storage until you return.
  • Connecting an agent: oidc_login_prompt can remember an agent's authorization request for up to ten minutes while you sign in, so the connection can continue afterwards. When your organization's single sign-on meets an account that already exists, synapse_sso_link remembers that sign-on for up to ten minutes while you sign in the usual way, so the two can be linked. While a single sign-on is under way, synapse_sso_flow makes sure it finishes only in the browser that started it, for up to ten minutes.

Your preferences

  • Time zone: synapse-tz remembers your browser's time zone for a year, so a space's home page greets you at the right time of day. It holds only the name of the time zone.
  • Currency: synapse_currency remembers, for a year, the currency you choose on the pricing page. It is set only when you choose a currency.
  • Browser storage: your browser's local storage remembers choices you make in the app, such as the editor mode you prefer and the pages you pin in a vault.

What we do not use

We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking or analytics tools from other companies. Our public pages set no cookies unless you sign in or choose a currency. We count page visits on our own server, without reading or storing anything in your browser.

3. Managing cookies

You can delete or block cookies and other data from Synapse in your browser settings. If you block the sign-in cookies, you are signed out and the Service cannot work. If you delete your preferences, Synapse forgets your time zone, currency and app choices until you set them again.

4. Changes

If we change what we store, we update this page and its "last updated" date. If a new cookie or other storage needs your consent, we ask you before it is set.

5. Contact

Write to hej@fraim.dk if you have questions about cookies. The Privacy policy describes how we handle your personal data.
